Jim Harbaugh is the Most Overrated Coach in CFB History

“He’s not as good as Urban Meyer, he’s not as good as James Franklin, he’s not as good as Mark Dantonio, and he’s not as good as Scott Frost. He’s the fifth best coach in the Big Ten.”

After blowing a 19-3 second-half lead to a middling South Carolina team, Clay Travis took exception to Jim Harbaugh finishing off his third consecutive forgettable season as Head Coach at Michigan.

Harbaugh’s lukewarm 28-11 tenure at his alma mater isn’t terrible, but his 1-5 record against Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan State is, and for a guy routinely lauded by Michigan fans as one of the brightest minds in football, his three consecutive third-place finishes in the Big Ten East is more reminiscent of a massive underachiever still riding the coattails of his exaggerated reputation.
