Why Andrew Luck is in the Twilight of His Career

Indianapolis Colts v Atlanta Falcons
Jason Smith: “Sorry, but he can’t stay healthy. This is just who Andrew Luck is. For everyone who thought he was going to put everything behind him and become that quarterback we always thought he was going to be… He’s going to be 30-years-old and has already lost a whole season and a half because of a bad shoulder injury. Now he has a calf injury that’s going to keep him out until the beginning of the season. He’s NEVER going to get past this, this is simply who Andrew Luck is. It’s going to be injuries dogging Luck throughout his career.”

Listen to Jason Smith explain why the Indianapolis Colts recently announcing Andrew Luck will miss time with a left calf strain is the type of news Colts fans better get used to for the rest of his career.

Luck says he’s been dealing with calf pain since April, and is also feeling discomfort in his ankle and Achilles areas as well. He didn’t appear at the team’s OTA’s or minicamp since that time, and has been extremely limited in Colts training camp the past week.

Colts head coach Frank Reich has already ruled him out for their first preseason game August 8th.

Jason says this is just who Andrew Luck is, as the former no. 1 pick at one time had a nearly three-year long oddysey with a shoulder injury between 2015 and 2018.

Check out the audio below as Jason doesn’t think Luck will ever be a dependable quarterback who can STAY on the field.
