Giants Fear Saquon Barkley Could Miss Two Months With High Ankle Sprain

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting awful news for the New York Giants just a day after one of their most heroic wins of the decade.

All-Pro running back Saquon Barkley could miss most of the season with a high ankle sprain as the team is fearing the former Rookie of the Year could miss 4-8 weeks according to sources.

High ankle sprains are some of the most nagging and problematic in the sport, and Schefter believes Barkley, with the Giants having their bye week in Week 11, could potentially be out until the following week against the Bears on November 24th.

Barkley left the game late in the second quarter after being tackled low by Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Mike Edwards.

After the Giants comeback victory, Barkley was seen joyously making his way across the field hopping on one foot with crutches, as he wore a walking boot.
