Tom Brady Has Taken Over the NFC Like LeBron Took Over Western Conference

Colin Cowherd: “The NFC has always been deeper than the AFC, there is fewer crappy teams. But the top of the NFC is weaker, and Tampa Bay is easily the best team. The gap between Tampa Bay and two is much deeper than the gap between Kansas City and the two, three, or four in the AFC. For 20 years all we asked of the AFC was ‘Who is going to beat Tom Brady?’ The NFC was always a carousel of good teams – Seattle, San Francisco, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Carolina… Tom has been here 7 weeks and it’s over. Like it’s OVER, they’re easily the best team. It is very LeBron to the West. For years we talked about how good the West was, and then LeBron just breezed through all of them. The NFC looked so much tougher for years and years until LeBron arrived in the West, and Brady arrived in the NFC. For years and years all we talked about were all the stars in the West, but the minute LeBron comes over, gets healthy, and gets AD, you see all the holes. I don’t even know who the second best team in the NFC is anymore. I think it’s Green Bay, but I saw them play and it was over in the second quarter.” (Full Video Below)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks Tom Brady leaving the Patriots to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers reminds him so much of LeBron James leaving the Cavaliers to join the Lakers, as Colin says LeBron changing conferences and seeing immediate success in the West, is just like Brady seeing immediate success in the NFC.

Check out the video below as Colin details how just like the Western Conference this decade, the NFC was always considered a deeper conference than the AFC, but it’s looking like Brady has already conquered it, similar to LeBron and the Lakers winning the West this season.
