Why Pelicans Need to Trade Zion Williamson as Soon as They Can

In the video above, Chris Broussard & Rob Parker discuss the, so far, unfortunate career of New Orleans Pelicans player Zion Williamson in the NBA. The highly touted star out of Duke has been riddled with injuries and now reports say his rehab has been moved to Portland away from the New Orleans Pelicans.

Chris and Rob also cover some of the rumors surrounding Zion Williamson who may be dissatisfied with his time in New Orleans and isn't fond of their current GM, David Griffin. With the contract talks looming as Williamson's rookie deal expires, Parker thinks all this turmoil isn't worth it and it's in the team's best interest to make a trade as soon as possible.

Rob Parker: "If I'm the New Orleans Pelicans, I'm trading Zion as soon as I can. I don't want an Anthony Davis 2.0. I would be concerned that he can't stay healthy. There's already the talk of him not being happy in New Orleans, and he doesn't want to be a part of the team and organization. He's a young guy who should be there. I would be concerned that he's comfortable being in Portland a gazillion miles away. He ain't happy? What is he not happy about? He's getting paid and he's not playing. New Orleans, cut and run. This is not new."
