News broke today that the Houston Texans have settled with the 30 women who have filed lawsuits against them with regard to Deshaun Watson’s sexual misconduct allegations. Doug reminds us that this is simply a sound business decision as entering into litigation would mean opening up Pandora’s Box, laying all of their communications bare and requiring depositions and court costs. It makes more sense to settle and be done with the whole mess rather than engage in revealing and costly litigation.
Doug Gottlieb: “In lawsuits, oftentimes people settle just because it’s not worth going through the full litigation...this is the old C.Y.A....I believe they have covered their backside.”
