Los Angeles Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show. They spend some time going over the new rules being implemented this season and whether they benefit the pitchers or batters more. Roberts says it’s been an educational process to understand how best to adapt his strategy and make sure his players know how to take advantage. And Dan recalls Robert’s guarantee of a World Series victory for the Blue Crew from his appearance on the show last year, a guarantee he is reluctant to repeat.
Dan Patrick: “It was a little over a year ago when we had you on, it was March 24th, and you made your prediction...”
Dave Roberts: “...It’s media, I get it Dan. I am not going to say we’re going to win the World Series in 2023. I still believe that, I really do! And I don’t think there’s a manager that has a really competitive team that doesn’t feel that way.”
