Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid returned to the court after missing game 1 in Boston against the Celtics with a knee injury and they proceeded to get blown-out in game 2. Dan thinks the Sixers should have left Embiid at home so he could continue to recuperate considering they were on the road, he looked uncomfortable with the knee brace he was wearing, and they’d already earned at least a split in the first two games in Boston. There was every reason to have the recently named NBA MVP sit this one out.
Dan Patrick: “I would have kept him out of this game. It felt like he was struggling a little bit with the knee brace...I would have just said, ‘Hey, we got what we wanted, we got a win here. Let’s just rest up, be healthy when they come to town for game 3.”
