It's More Complicated Than Blaming Joe Mazzulla for Celtics Loss to 76ers

Doug Gottlieb: "I'm not an all-or-nothing person. You're allowed to have thought. I like my team to play it out. On the other hand, do I have my point guard in the game? Is this team good at running a play? Does my best player know what I want him to do? Is it loud, are they tired, are we in foul trouble? But what we heard from Joe Mazzulla is that he got what he wanted, it was just a half-second too late. They're going to have to learn from it, and sometimes it's the players, not the coaches."

Doug Gottlieb reacts to the 76ers beating the Celtics on Sunday night to draw the series even at 2-2. Doug explains why ripping Celtics HC Joe Mazzulla for not using time outs late in the loss is fair to do, but it is far from the sole reason why the Celtics let that game slip from them in overtime.
