Colin Cowherd Drops His First 'Super Bowl Bubble' For the 2023 NFL Season

Colin Cowherd: “What I do about once a month during the season— I call it my ‘Super Bowl Bubble’. It’s usually about seven teams I think are Super Bowl-worthy and then a couple of hoverers. I would say there are five teams that really are heavy-leaning Super Bowl teams. Kansas City, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Philly, and San Francisco. I do think four other teams are really talented— Ravens, Chargers, they got the right OC [Kellen Moore], Jaguars, and Cowboys. There are two teams that could go either way. I don’t think Dallas is going to be atrocious, or Jacksonville, Baltimore, or the Chargers will be atrocious, they may not be in the Super Bowl Bubble, but I don’t see ‘man overboard!’ Miami and the Jets are those two teams. Could be really special or ugly. For Miami, the upside— Vic Fangio is as good as any defensive coordinator in the league, and now they have two elite corners; a problem last year. It’s the second year for Mike McDaniel’s system, the fastest receiver corps in the league, and Tua is really accurate. Really great offensive coaches, even Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay usually take a second year in a system to truly pop. They could be really good… OR Tua could get a concussion, they’re using Mike White, a backup, and in the AFC they’re a six-win team. Then there’s the Jets. Excellent defense, here comes Aaron Rodgers with a young o-line, with a receiving corps you hope a young player delivers, a running back coming off a major injury, brutal early schedule, and if they go 2-4 or 3-3 it becomes an incredibly pressurized situation and the New York media has got their fangs out. But they both could be great. The best hope for the Jets is they get the ‘new and improved Aaron Rodgers.’ A little less snarky, a little more accountable, committed-off-season Aaron that feels like year eight in Green Bay.” (Full Segment Above)

Watch Colin Cowherd drop his first NFL ‘Super Bowl Bubble’ of the 2023 season, as Colin currently has five teams in his Bubble, four teams just on the outskirts of the Bubble, and two more teams who are both of the fringe of either being really good or a complete dumpster fire.

Check out the segment above as Colin does a deep dive into whether Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets can be one of those teams in his Bubble.
