Hall of Fame Catcher Johnny Bench joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show. He shares his experiences in and around the All-Star game, especially his first one and the different feeling to the game in his era. He weighs in on today’s stars, including Shohei Ohtani and Ely De La Cruz. And he goes into detail about the performance enhancing drug culture in baseball, when it started, and why guys like Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, and Roger Clemens have a good reason to be bothered by their exclusion from Cooperstown.

Dan Patrick: “What do you think, as a Hall of Famer, should (Barry) Bonds be in?”

Johnny Bench: “It should bother him. It should bother him. You know, it’s the same thing with (Mark) McGwire...I think Roger (Clemens) is in that same situation, you know, there’s questions about certain Hall of Famers.”
