TJ Watt Is Fine with the Form of Hatred in the Steelers/Ravens Rivalry

Pittsburgh Steelers DE TJ Watt joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show. He says he’s always looking for sacks because they can demoralize an opponent and talks about some of the fines he’s had to pay during his career. He says apologies are common on the field during games and that’s a good thing. And he is perfectly fine with the specific form of hatred that accompanies their rivalry with the Baltimore Ravens.

Dan Patrick: “Why is the Ravens matchup, I mean, it feels like that’s the best rivalry in football right now?”

TJ Watt: “It’s just always so physical. When Coach T (Mike Tomlin) talks about that matchup he always says, like, there’s been rules made around this game when it comes to targeting, and guys just big hits over the middle, blindside blocks. It’s just always been so physical...There is a form of hatred between Baltimore and Pittsburgh and that’s OK, I’m fine with it.”
