He latest out of New York has Jets QB Aaron Rodgers being cleared for practice just 11 weeks after undergoing Achilles surgery and many are questioning his intention to return this season, especially considering the Jets have little hope of making the playoffs. But Doug thinks Rodgers is less concerned with making the playoffs and more intent on proving to everyone that he can return in record time. It may not serve as the purest of motivations, but it just might get him back on the gridiron.

Doug Gottlieb: “The biggest reason that Aaron Rodgers is going to do it, is going to come back sooner rather than later, and going to try and play this year even if it doesn’t mean you’re playing for a playoff spot, is because they said it couldn’t be done.”
