Bowl Season Was a Disaster for College Football

The matchup for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game is set but Dan Patrick turns his attention to the rest of the bowl games we were subjected to over the holidays. He compares the current iteration of the bowl season to Spring Football because the teams playing only partially resemble the full-strength squads we see during the regular season. How long will companies continue to sponsor these games when nobody cares about them anymore?

Dan Patrick: “What a disaster for college football! They so over, or under-read maybe, what was going to happen, or the value of these bowl (games). Remember, we had to protect the sanctity, pageantry of the bowl game. That’s why we wouldn’t have a playoff. OK, nobody cares about these bowl (games).”
