Mike Tomlin Is Not the Problem in Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Steelers were eliminated from the NFL Playoffs by the Buffalo Bills yesterday and questions about HC Mike Tomlin’s job are rampant. But Doug comes to Tomlin’s defense and thinks any discussion of firing Tomlin is pointless considering any head coach would be challenged to field a winning team without a great QB. If you’re running out Mason Rudolph or some other scrub under center, it won’t matter who coaches the team.

Doug Gottlieb: “You’re trying to run Mike Tomlin out of town; that’s fine, you can. The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to have the exact same problem next year no matter who the coach is...if you don’t have a DUDE taking snaps, you’re at a sizable disadvantage.”
