Rob Parker: Kevin Durant Is Not in the GOAT Conversation

Rob Parker: “Kevin Durant is a fantastic basketball player. One of the all-time greats... what is their bad to say about him Chris but he’s not in that conversation. Kobe Bryant has won more championships, played 20 years with the Lakers, all this other stuff... he’s (Kobe) not in that conversation...I know people like to put him in there... but there’s no such list if there were 10 people on it.... I’m not taking anything away you went to a team that already won a championship without you and you didn’t go along for the ride... you won the MVP twice and they probably would have won again if he didn’t get hurt so I love all that about Durant but if you are going to put him next to Michael Jordan and LeBron James I just don’t think he’s on that plateau and that’s not a diss of his ability.”
Chris Broussard: “Nobody in their right mind would say that Kevin Durant is not an all-time great player... the only time he’s been discussed in the GOAT conversation is now. If you are in the GOAT conversation, others should put you in it. It’s not going to be because you said hey why am I not in the GOAT conversation. I think there are primarily three players in the GOAT conversation... Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.”

On the latest episode of The Odd Couple, Chris Broussard and Rob Parker explain why Suns F Kevin Durant does not belong in the discussion for the greatest basketball player of all-time. Listen to the segment above!
