We are just eleven days away from the kickoff of Super Bowl 58 and the matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs seems like a little bit of a letdown. While we have two clearly deserving candidates, and the game promises to be competitive and exciting, it’s lacking anything truly interesting or new. Most of us were hoping to see one of the up-and-coming teams finally break through instead of a rematch from four years ago.
Dan Patrick: “It’s interesting that it’s going to be a great matchup, but it’s a Super Bowl that I don’t think anybody was hoping for outside of San Francisco and Kansas City. You know, we were looking for the (Detroit) Lions or the Buffalo Bills getting there. There were story lines with other teams that were more interesting.”
