Adrian Peterson's attorney Rusty Hardin told FSR's "The Dan Patrick Show" he believes the NFL handed out unfair punishment to his client after the uproar caused by their mishandling of the Ray Rice case.

35-year-old Center Jason Collins announced his retirement from the NBA after 13 seasons. His retirement comes 18 months after he became the first openly gay active male athlete to play in one of the four major professional sports.

Former NBA PG Delonte West was released by the Shanghai Sharks after playing in just 4 games. The Sharks are owned by former NBA star Yao Ming.

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung & will be out of the lineup for at least six months.

San Diego State has given basketball coach Steve Fisher a three-year contract extension.

The Niagara University women's basketball team was rescued Wednesday at 4 a.m. after their bus was trapped in snow for 26 hours. The team became stranded around 2 a.m. Tuesday on their way back from a game against Pittsburgh.

USC cornerback Josh Shaw has been reinstated to the team after being suspended for fabricating a story about getting hurt while saving his nephew from drowning.
