-Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is day-to-day with a shoulder injury. Big Ben told a local Pittsburgh radio station he has, not only a sprained AC joint, but also torn ligaments in the shoulder.
-MLB.com: Gerardo Parra and the Rockies have agreed to a 3-year, $26 million contract.
-Pitcher Wei-Yin Chen has agreed to a 5-year, $80 million deal with the Marlins. Infielder Chris Johnson has also agreed to terms with Miami.
-Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long will not return as chairman of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee next season.
-Golf Digest: For the first time in 13 years, Tiger Woods was not golf's highest earner. Jordan Spieth tops the 2015 list, earning $53 million in winnings and endorsements, Phil Mickelson ($52.3M) was 2nd on the list, with Tiger Woods ($48.5) falling to 3rd.
-Alabama beat Clemson 45-40 to win the National Title. The Crimson Tide special teams recovered an onside kick and had a kickoff return for a TD in the fourth quarter. Alabama has won 16 national championships and four in the past seven years. It's the fifth national title for head coach Nick Saban and the SEC's eighth title in the last 10 seasons.
-The Warriors downed the Heat 111-103. Golden State improves to 36-2 this season and 18-0 at home. The Warriors have won 36 in a row dating back to last season.
