The Buffalo Bills interviewed Mike Shanahan about their head coaching vacancy on Sunday in San Francisco. There are also reports out of the Bay Area that Shanahan met with the Oakland Raiders. Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie met with Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton about Oakland’s head coaching vacancy. The two met Sunday night in Indianapolis after the Colts beat the Bengals.

The Charlotte area home of Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera suffered fire, water and smoke damage in an early morning blaze but nobody was injured.

Saints LB Junior Galette was charged with misdemeanor simple battery involving domestic violence for allegedly pushing a woman to the ground while trying to get her to leave his home.

The playoff matches for next Saturday has the Patriots hosting the Ravens and the Panthers at the Seahawks.

At the Go Daddy Bowl Toledo outscored Arkansas State 63-44. Arkansas State's Fredi Knighten threw for 403 yards and five touchdowns.

The Mavericks knocked off the Cavaliers 109-90. LeBron James did not play due to injury while Kyrie Irving left the game with a back injury and will not play Monday night. 

Eight Top 25 college basketball teams took the floor on Sunday with one upset. Stanford beat #21 Washington 68-60 in overtime.
