The Dodgers have named former Rays Executive VP of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman as their new President of Baseball Operations.  Former GM Ned Colletti will remain with the Dodgers as a Senior Advisor to President and CEO Stan Kasten.

Rays President Matthew Silverman will now take over as the President of Baseball Operations for Tampa Bay, with Brian Auld becoming the new President of the Rays.

Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina is not in the starting lineup for the Cardinals in today's Game 3 of the NLCS.  AJ Pierzynski will start for St. Louis.

SEC Commissioner Mike Slive announced he will retire on July 31, 2015 after 13 years on the job.  Slive says he has had a recurrence of prostate cancer, and is starting treatment.

Cowboys RB Joseph Randle was arrested and charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after allegedly stealing cologne and underwear at a Frisco, Texas mall on Monday.

The Dolphins placed RB Knowshon Moreno on injured reserve with an ACL injury.

The NBA will experiment with a 44 minute game on Sunday with the Nets hosting the Celtics in Brooklyn.  The league is shortening the game by 4 minutes, and limiting mandatory timeouts to see how it effects the flow of the game.

Cavs forward LeBron James will sit out tonight's preseason game against Milwaukee to rest.

The PGA of America formed an 11 member task force to look into every aspect of the Ryder Cup.  The task force includes Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, but not Paul Azinger, as the last winning American captain declined to be a part of the group.

The 49ers rallied from down 14-0 to beat the Rams 31-17. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw for 343 yards and 3 touchdowns. San Francisco is 4-2 on the year.

Game 3 of the N-L-C-S is scheduled for 4pm ET in San Francisco as the Giants host the Cardinals. The series is tied at 1-1.

Game 3 of the A-L-C-S is scheduled for 8pm ET in Kansas City as the Royals host the Orioles after the game was rained out on Monday. Kansas City leads the series 2-0.

Florida State is reportedly looking into reports quarterback and former Heisman Trophy winner Jamies Winston signed autographs for money. Winston denies he was paid.

The Lightning rolled over the Canadiens 7-1. Tampa Bay forward Steven Stamkos had a natural hat trick by scoring 3 consecutive goals.
