Delaware authorities are investigating a domestic assault allegation made against NASCAR driver Kurt Busch by his ex-girlfriend, Patricia Driscoll. She says the alleged incident occurred at a race inside his motor home.

Cowboys QB Tony Romo practiced again on Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday’s game in London against the Jaguars.

The Rays released a list, in alphabetical order, of their eight candidates being considered to replace Joe Maddon as manager: Manny Acta, Kevin Cash, Craig Counsell, Raul Ibanez, Dave Martinez, Charlie Montoyo, Don Wakamatsu and Ron Wotus.

Florida State QB Jameis Winston’s attorney has requested that his November 17th student conduct code hearing with the university be postponed. Attorney David Cornwell claims he needs more time to prepare.  

Notre Dame safety Eilar Hardy has been cleared by the NCAA to play after being held out since August during the investigation into possible academic dishonesty by five players. The other four players have not been reinstated.

The Thunder signed free-agent guard Ish Smith. The transaction was allowed under the NBA’s hardship rule because of the number of players they’re now missing with injuries.

Philadelphia Inquirer: Lame duck Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett now says Joe Paterno "probably" should not have been fired Nov. 9, 2011, but rather suspended for the final three-games of the 2011 season. Corbett lost his re-election bid on Tuesday.

The Browns rolled over the Bengals 24-3. Cincinnati was held to 165 yards of total offense. Quarterback Andy Dalton threw for just 86 yards with 3 interceptions.

The Blues edged the Devils 4-3. St. Louis has won 7 in a row. The Penguins got by the Jets 4-3 in a shootout. Pittsburgh has won 6 in a row.
