The BBWAA has elected four former players for induction into Cooperstown.  The Class of 2015 includes Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz and Craig Biggio. Johnson, Martinez and Smoltz are officially first-ballot Hall of Famers.

FOX Sports: The Dolphins have hired Jets ex-GM Mike Tannenbaum to oversee the front office in Miami. Current Dolphins GM Dennis Hickey is expected to report to Tannenbaum.

Jury selection in the murder trial of Aaron Hernandez will begin Friday. The judge overseeing the case will allow his mother and his fiancée in the courtroom during the trial, despite both women being listed as potential witnesses.

Former NFL coach Allie Sherman has died at age 91. Sherman was NFL Coach of the Year in 1961 and 1962 and coached the NY Giants to NFL championship game appearances in his first three seasons.

Josh Heupel is out as Oklahoma’s offensive coordinator. Heupel was an All-American QB for the Sooners before spending the past nine years as an assistant coach.

The Maple Leafs have fired coach Randy Carlyle.

The Cavaliers, Knicks and Thunder pulled off a 6-player trade. Of the key players involved, Cleveland lands J.R Smith, Iman Shumpert, Oklahoma City gets Dion Waiters.

The Warriors downed the Thunder 117-91. Golden State has the NBA’s best record at 27-5. 

The Hawks won in L.A. over the Clippers 107-98. Atlanta, the top team in the Eastern Conference, won its 7th straight road game.

The Bulls beat the Rockets 114-105. Chicago has won 13 of its last 15 games.

The 76ers surprised the Cavaliers 95-92. Philadelphia gets its first home win this season (now 1-14 at home). LeBron James and Kyrie Irving did not play due to injuries.

The Grizzlies took out the Knicks 105-83. New York lost its 12th straight game tying a franchise record.

#16 Oklahoma easily won at #10 Texas 70-49. The Sooners beat a top 10 team on the road for the first time since 1993.

#13 Notre Dame edged #18 North Carolina on the road 71-70. The Fighting Irish improved to 15-1 on the season and 3-0 in A-C-C play.
