Florida State QB Jameis Winston complied with the 1st phase in his disciplinary hearing at the school. In a statement, his attorney said his client will cooperate with the procedure, as Winston is being accused of sexual assaulting a woman in 2012.

Lions head coach Jim Caldwell said it would likely take "a miracle" for WR Calvin Johnson to play against the Saints because of his injured ankle.

Bengals WR AJ Green missed practice again today because of a toe injury.  The NFL Network reported earlier this week Green would miss Sunday's game at Indianapolis.

The Panthers say WR Kelvin Benjamin is questionable to play against the Packers because of a concussion.

The Browns placed center Alex Mack on injured reserve with a broken leg.

The Pistons traded guard Will Bynum to the Boston Celtics for center Joel Anthony.

The Giants beat the Cardinals 6-3 in Game 5 of the N-L-C-S. Travis Ishikawa hit a 3-run homer, the first walk off homer in N-L-C-S history to win it. San Francisco wins the series 4-1.

The Giants advance to the World Series for the third time in the last five years. The Royals will host the Giants in Game 1 on Tuesday in Kansas City.

The Patriots edged the Jets 27-25. New England quarterback Tom Brady threw 3 touchdown passes. The Patriots improved to 5-2, New York falls to 1-6.

#20 Utah got by Oregon State on the road 29-23 in double overtime. Devontae Booker led the Utes with 229 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns.

In the N-H-L game of the night the Canadiens outscored the Bruins 6-4. Montreal improved to 4-1. Boston goalie Tuukka Rask fell to 3-11-3 lifetime vs the Canadiens.

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis was taken off the ice on a stretcher in a game vs the Stars. Dupuis took puck in neck area. No word on his condition.
