The latest College Football Playoff Rankings are out, and Mississippi State, Florida State and Auburn remain 1-2-3.  Oregon moved up to 4th in the latest rankings, with Alabama 5th and TCU in 6th.  

USA Today: The Florida State University disciplinary hearing involving QB Jameis Winston will be held on Monday, November 17th.  The hearing will take place to determine if Winston violated the school’s student conduct code after being accused of sexually assaulting a female student in 2012.

Updated: Vikings RB Adrian Peterson accepted a plea deal in Texas court today, and pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of reckless assault.  In addition to being sentenced to probation and community service, Peterson was also fined $4,000.

The Buccaneers are switching quarterbacks, as Josh McCown will start Week 10 against the Falcons instead of Mike Glennon.  Glennon broke the news on a Tampa radio show.

The Steelers have ruled out safety Troy Polamalu for Sunday’s game against the Jets.  Polamalu has a knee injury, and LB Ryan Shazier is out for the game because of an ankle injury.

NASCAR did not penalize Brad Keselowski or Jeff Gordon for their post-race fight on Saturday, however, 2 crew chiefs and 4 crew members from Hendrick Motorsports were suspended and fined.

In Major League Baseball, the finalists for the Baseball Writers Association of America Awards were announced today….

Updated: Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval rejected the team’s qualifying offer and will become a free agent.

Grizzlies guard Tony Allen was fined $15,000 for slapping a camera along the baseline during Monday’s game against the Pelicans.
