Trending Now: Head of officiating says refs should have called penalty in Cowboys game

NFL head of officiating Dean Blandino said a defensive holding penalty should have been called on Cowboys LB Anthony Hitchens in the 4th quarter of Sunday’s Dallas win over the Detroit Lions.  Officials initially called pass interference, but then picked up the flag on the 3rd down play.
 
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said QB Aaron Rodgers is progressing with his injured calf, and his practice schedule will be decided on Wednesday when he is re-evaluated by team doctors.
 
15-year-old Alina Claire Kupchak, the daughter of Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak passed away today.  In a statement, the team said she had been battling a lengthy illness.
 
Racine Journal Times: Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders has told some in the organization that he doesn’t want to play basketball anymore.
 
Bulls guard Jimmy Butler will return to the team tonight for their game against the Rockets after missing Saturday’s game because of personal reasons.
