NY Post: Jets WR Eric Decker believes he will play in Week 4 against Detroit, despite tightness in his hamstring, which forced him to miss some of last night’s game loss to Chicago.

NFL Network: Buccaneers offensive coordinator Jeff Tedford will take a leave of absence from the team after his medical condition hasn't improved.  Tedford had a heart procedure in late August.

The Steelers signed former linebacker James Harrison to a 1 year deal.  Harrison had previously announced his retirement this offseason.

Former USC CB Brian Baucham is suing the school and former head coach Lane Kiffin, claiming he suffered a brain injury and cardiopulmonary damage when they allegedly forced him to play in a game in 2012, just 2 months after a concussion.

The Bears beat the Jets 27-19 in New York. Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler threw two touchdown passes to tight end Martellus Bennett. The Bears are 2-1, the Jets are 1-2.

The Giants downed the Dodgers 5-2 in 13 innings. L-A’s lead on San Francisco is down to 3 ½ games in the N-L West.

The Cardinals blanked the Cubs 8-0. Adam Wainwright earned his 20th win of the season to tie Clayton Kershaw for the major league lead in wins. 

The Pirates beat the Braves 1-0 on an Andrew McCutchen solo homerun. Pittsburgh remains 2 games back of St. Louis in the N-L Central race.   

The Royals lost to the Indians 4-3 in the completion of a suspended game from August. Kansas City then rebounded to beat Cleveland 2-0 in a 9 inning game.

The Tigers were shut out by the White Sox 2-0. Detroit’s lead is down to 1 game on Kansas City in the A-L Central.

The Mariners were blasted by the Blue Jays 14-4. Seattle is 2 games back of Kansas City for the second wildcard spot in the A-L.
