-Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota will miss his second-straight game because of his injured knee. Zach Mettenberger will start Sunday's game against the Texans.

-Browns coach Mike Pettine says he plans to have quarterback Josh McCown start Sunday against the Cardinals, but is officially calling him "day-to-day."

-Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is listed as probable for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals.

-Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul participated in position drills today for the first time since returning to the team following his July 4th fireworks accident. He will not travel with the team for Sunday's game at New Orleans.

-Miami Sun-Sentinel: Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake is done for the season with a torn left Achilles tendon.

-The Patriots rolled over the Dolphins 36-7 to improve to 7-0. New England quarterback Tom Brady threw 4 TD passes with 0 interceptions. Miami is 3-4 with the loss.

-#5 TCU beat West Virginia 40-10 to improve to 8-0. Horned Frogs quarterback Trevone Boykin threw for 388 yards with 3 TD passes and 1 TD run.

-North Carolina knocked off #23 Pittsburgh 23-19. The Tar Heels improved to 7-1 and 4-0 in the A-C-C.

-Oregon outlasted Arizona State 61-55 in triple overtime. Ducks quarterback Vernon Adams had 4 TD passes in the win. Sun Devils quarterback Mike Bercovici had 5 TD passes in the loss.

-The Clippers improved to 2-0 with a 104-88 win over the Mavericks. Blake Griffin led L.A. with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
