NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell testified under oath during Ray Rice's appeal hearing in New York City.

49ers RB Marcus Lattimore announced he is retiring from football. Lattimore suffered a serious knee injury while playing at South Carolina, and never played a down in the NFL.

Bengals RB Giovani Bernard, who missed Week 9 because of a hip injury, is doubtful to play against the Browns tomorrow.

Bills WR Sammy Watkins left practice today because of a groin injury, but the injury is not believed to be serious.

Knicks guard J.R. Smith has been suspended for tonight's game against the Pistons after he struck Glen Rice Jr. of the Wizards in the groin during last night's loss.

Bulls guard Derrick Rose is questionable, with center Joakim Noah doubtful, for tonight's game in Milwaukee.

The Miami Marlins and OF Giancarlo Stanton have begun talks on a contract extension.

Ken Rosenthal: The A's won't trade 3rd baseman Josh Donaldson this offseason, and won't actively shop pitchers Jeff Samardzija and Scott Kazmir.
