-Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant told reporters he "had a great day of practice" today. Bryant took part in team drills as he tries to return from a broken foot suffered in Week 1.
-Chargers tight end Antonio Gates missed practice today with a knee injury.
-USC has announced a $270 million renovation plan for the LA Coliseum, with work beginning following the 2017 season and completed by the start of the 2019 season. The 2018 season will be played at the Coliseum, despite the ongoing construction.
-Hall of Fame Dodgers announcer Vin Scully told Sportsnet LA that he is "chafing at the bit" to return to the broadcast booth in 2016, the 67th of his career. Scully will turn 88 next month, but missed the 2015 postseason following a medical procedure.
-The Marlins dismissed general manager Dan Jennings, who served as the team's interim manager for part of the 2015 season.
-Clippers guard Austin Rivers was fined $25,000 for throwing a seat cushion into the stands during last night's game against Sacramento.
