Trending Now: Steve Smith Won't Retire After This Season

-Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith has decided not to retire after all and will return in 2016.
-Cincinnati Bengals quarterback A.J. McCarron expects to play Sunday against the Ravens despite spraining his left wrist on the final play of Monday's overtime loss at Denver.
-Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is being evaluated for a possible concussion.
-Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is being put on injured reserve and will have surgery on his ankle and foot.
-Wall Street Journal: New York Knicks reserve forward Cleanthony Early was released from a hospital after being robbed and shot in the leg early this morning.
-Bay Area News Group: Golden State guard Steph Curry had an MRI today on his lower left leg. Luke Walton says Curry's chances of playing tonight at Dallas are "probably pretty slim."

-The Eagles fired head coach Chip Kelly. In three seasons in Philadelphia Kelly was 26-21 but the Eagles were 6-9 this year and missed the playoffs.
Jay Glazer: Chip Kelly wants to coach in the NFL again and is not looking to return to college for his next job. Kelly is willing to just coach and not have personnel control.
-Clemson suspended 3 players for failing drug tests including wide receiver Deon Cain who is considered the Tigers best deep threat. He's tied for third on the team in receptions.
-LSU beat up on Texas Tech 56-27 in the Texas Bowl. Tigers running back Leonard Fournette had 5 touchdowns in the win.
-Baylor outscored North Carolina 49-38 to win the Russell Athletic Bowl. Bears running back Johnny Jefferson ran for 299 yards and 3 touchdowns.
-In a bizarre matchup that had two Mountain West Conference teams against each other Nevada downed Colorado State 28-23 in the Arizona Bowl.
-#1 ranked Michigan State lost at Iowa 83-70. The Spartans drop to 13-1 with their first defeat of the season.
-#2 Kansas downed UC Irvine 78-53. Barring a loss, the Jayhawks will likely be the new #1 team in the nation when the next poll is released.

-New York Knicks forward Cleanthony Early was reportedly shot in the leg (knee) in a robbery outside a Queens, NY strip club this morning.
