FOX Sports 1's Mike Garafolo reports Eagles QB Nick Foles will not need surgery on his broken left clavicle. Garafolo reports Foles will miss at least 6 weeks of action because of the injury.

The Green Bay Packers have given head coach Mike McCarthy a multi-year contract extension.

Minneapolis Star-Tribune: The Twins will introduce Hall of Famer Paul Molitor as the team's new manager on Tuesday. The 58-year-old Minnesota native and the Twins agreed to a three-year contract.

The Cubs will formally announce the hiring of former Rays skipper Joe Maddon as their new manager today at 3pm ET.

The Rays are expected to release a list of names of candidates to replace Maddon later this week.

The Royals have extended a one-year, $15.3 million qualifying offer to pitcher James Shields for the 2015 season.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett says QB Tony Romo's back injury seems to be healing as well as can be expected.  He is hopeful Romo will return to start Week 10 against the Jaguars in London.

NFL VP of officiating Dean Blandino says game officials got the call right regarding the late fumble by 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, adding there was no definitive view showing Kaepernick crossed the goal line before fumbling.

Kobe Bryant told Yahoo Sports that contrary to reports, he hasn't asked the Lakers for a trade to a contender. He said "that's not what I do. I'm extremely loyal to the Lakers."

Timberwolves guard Kevin Martin has been fined $15,000 for making an obscene gesture late in the 4th quarter of Minnesota's 106-105 Saturday loss to the Bulls.

The Steelers rolled over the Ravens 43-23. Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw 6 touchdown passes for the second week in a row which is a new NFL record.

The Patriots downed the Broncos 43-21. Tom Brady threw for 4 TDs as New England improved to 7-2. Peyton Manning threw 2 TDs and 2 INTs to fall to 6-2.

The Rams upset the 49ers in San Francisco 13-10. St. Louis recovered a Colin Kaepernick fumbled on the goal line on a quarterback sneak in the final seconds.

The Seahawks beat the Raiders 30-24. Oakland remains the only winless team in the league at 0-8.  

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo did not play against the Cardinals due to a back injury. Arizona went on to win 38-17 to improve to 7-1 on the season. 

Eagles quarterback Nick Foles suffered a broken collarbone and will miss at least a month. Philadelphia went on to win in Houston 31-21 behind backup Mark Sanchez. 

Redskins QB Robert Griffin III returned after missing 6 games with an ankle injury. He completed 18 of 28 passes for 251 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT in a 29-26 loss to the Vikings.

Jimmy Johnson won the NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway. After the race Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski and members of their crews were involved in a brawl.
