-The Chicago White Sox acquired two time All-Star third baseman Todd Frazier from the Cincinnati Reds in a three team trade that also involved the L.A. Dodgers.
-Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said that quarterback Brian Hoyer will not play Sunday against the Colts.
-Colts head coach Chuck Pagano confirmed that quarterback Andrew Luck will not play Sunday against the Texans either.
-Peyton Manning returned to the practice field today for the Denver Broncos. The Broncos announced that Brock Osweiler will start at quarterback Sunday against the Steelers.
-Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving denied a report that he would make his season debut Thursday against Oklahoma City.

-Wisconsin head basketball coach Bo Ryan announced his retirement effective immediately after the Badgers 64-49 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
-ESPN: Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving will make his season debut Thursday at home against the Thunder. He has been out all season due to a fractured left knee cap.
-The Cavaliers downed the Celtics 89-77. LeBron James led Cleveland with 24 points.
-The Lakers beat the Bucks 113-95. Kobe Bryant led L.A. with 22 points. The Lakers get just their fourth win of the season improving to 4-21.
-The Kings took down the Rockets 107-97. Houston lost despite James Harden scoring 33 points.  
-The Blackhawks were shutout by the Avalanche 3-0. Chicago star Patrick Kane saw his consecutive points streak end at 26 games.
