England v Russia - Group B: UEFA Euro 2016

ESPN - Russian hooligans have warned England fans that they are "100 percent guaranteed'' to be targeted at the 2018 World Cup.

There were scenes of violence at Euro 2016 as supporters of the two countries clashed, with two England fans left in a critical condition after three days of violence in Marseille while a group of Russian fans charged at England supporters inside the Stade Velodrome.

Speaking to a BBC documentary, Russia's Hooligan Army, a hooligan known as "Vasily the Killer" was quoted in the Guardian alleging that last year's violence was sanctioned by the Kremlin.

The picture at the top of this article was taken at the Velodrome in Marseille, France this past summer during the Euro2016 tournament. It shows Russian and England fans battering each other in the stands, and trust me when I say the video isn't much prettier.

Russia is claiming that much of the same is set to occur at 2018, and the sport has absolutely no place for this. "The Beautiful Game" as it is referred across the globe, fans from multiple countries find the opportunity to engage in combat over their beloved club, but they will always be the outspoken minority.

Let's hope 2018 goes smoothly.
