New York Giants Trade Odell Beckham Jr to Cleveland Browns

In one of the most shocking trades in NFL history that had always been loosely rumored but easily brushed under the rug for months, the New York Giants finally parted way with Odell Beckham Jr on Tuesday, the highest paid wideout in football and arguably the franchise’s most popular player ever.

The Giants sent Beckham, a two-time All-Pro to Cleveland in exchange for their no. 17 pick, the #95 pick, 2017 1st round pick Jabrill Peppers, and $17 million in dead cap.

Beckham is set to reunite with longtime best friend Jarvis Landry, who roomed with Beckham at LSU.

The Giants have made the playoffs just once in the last seven seasons and were looking to dump Beckham's salary in exchange for draft picks and cheaper assets.
