The Elite 8 is set in the NCAA Tournament, and it's fair to say that the most impressive team up to this point has been Mark Few's Gonzaga squad. None of their games have even been competitive, and they just easily disposed of Creighton in the Sweet 16.
Clay Travis believes that Mark Few has this program on the brink of something truly special. With a few more wins, Gonzaga will have their long awaited first National Championship, and Clay says that Gonzaga could be the next Georgetown type program.
In their heyday, Georgetown was a dominant force in college basketball, but they were a small school that was relatively unknown until head coach John Thompson brought them to new heights. The same exact scenario has happened to a degree with Mark Few and the Zags, but a title is needed to reach their potential of a modern-day Georgetown.
