Tiger Woods Is Defining “Great”

Tiger Woods finished his first round at the Masters in exceptional position at one under par, and Dan Patrick thinks that’s victory enough to be considered truly great considering the circumstances. Fans and the media are quick to label great performances as such, but Tiger’s return this week has raised the bar for consideration. And his local course knowledge is a clear advantage for him as he tries to keep himself in contention. All eyes will be glued to the coverage this weekend, especially if Tiger is still playing.

Dan Patrick: “He’s already won because he got here, he played, he played well... Great is defined...it’s fluid.  Because you could say ‘Boy, that guy’s great,’ and then you go ‘Well, not really. That’s great!’ And Tiger ruined it for everybody else to be labeled ‘great.’”
