Something Feels Off Between Lamar Jackson and the Ravens

Monday on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Jonas Knox, Brady Quinn and LaVar Arrington wonder why there's so much hesitation in getting a contract extension done between Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.

LaVar Arrington: "How does that play out if he were willing to go all the way to the end [of his contract] so he can have the choice of if he stays there or goes somewhere else? Most most players don't approach it that way, but it's pretty admirable if you ask me."
Jonas Knox: "It's been like this for years in the NFL, if you've got a guy you try to get a deal done soon, so that way you can lock them in at whatever the going rate is at that time, because these contracts are only going to go up. And then you had the Jared Goff, Carson Wentz stuff and then people got a little bit gun shy. And now Lamar is sitting there, MVP credentials, you would think they'd want to get something done, especially if durability is a concern with Lamar and his style of play. And here we are still having the same discussions. I don't know, it's very weird."
Brady Quinn: "If you're looking at the league, and the way the game is played and how guys have been most successful, you have to be able to play from the pocket at some point. And I think that question is still out there for Lamar Jackson... You could say it's the players they supplied him with, well look Rashod Bateman was a first round pick. Hollywood Brown was a first round pick and obviously it wasn't working to that degree. Maybe they add someone else, but at some point people are gonna stop saying, 'The Ravens can't find wide receivers.' It's something else."
