Aaron Judge May Be On Pace to Break 61 HRs, But the Odds Are Against Him

On Tuesday’s edition of “Straight Outta Vegas with RJ Bell,” RJ Bell, AJ Hoffman and Scott Seidenberg discuss if they think Aaron Judge will break the Yankees single-season home run record. Judge hit his 50th home run last night, and with one month left in the season, the odds are against Judge to break Roger Marris’ 61 HR record.

Scott Seidenberg: “Aaron Judge is on pace for 63 home runs, which is a home run every 10 at-bats.”
RJ Bell: "You can bet over/under 61.5 home runs. Over is paying almost 3-1, so even though the pace says that Judge will beat the record, the odds are saying that there’s a 75% chance that he won’t break it. I’m not sure why they’re so skeptical about it.”
