There Is No Conspiracy Against NFL Running Backs

As Raiders RB Josh Jacobs and Giants RB Saquon Barkley prepare to sit out training camp over contract issues, some are calling the undervaluing of NFL running backs a conspiracy to keep them underpaid. Doug uses simple logic to belie this ridiculous supposition and explains the simple and obvious reason running backs aren’t commanding more money; they’re just easier to replace.

Doug Gottlieb: “It’s just the old equation of how hard are (running backs) to replace? And the overwhelming belief is; not as hard as wide receivers, not as hard as left tackles, and definitely not as hard as a quarterback...everything else is just conjecture.”
