Longtime MLB manager Bobby Valentine joins Doug Gottlieb on The Doug Gottlieb Show and he weighs in on the conundrum facing the Los Angeles Angels over the disposition of superstar Shohei Ohtani. They can spend way too much money to keep him and likely continue to struggle, or trade him away and disappoint their fan base, robbing them of an opportunity to see him possibly break the all-time HR record. After decades of disappointing personnel moves, all Angels’ fans can do is hope they don’t screw it up again.
Bobby Valentine: “If you’re an Angels' fan, you just have to keep your fingers crossed that whatever is done works out for the best. And again, I don’t know if that’s happened very often in the past. Maybe it’s time for it to happen here in the future.”
