The Kansas City Chiefs demolished the Chicago Bears yesterday but all anybody wanted to talk about was Taylor Swift attending the game with Chiefs TE Travis Kelce’s mom. Dan wants to know why nobody asked Patrick Mahomes about leaving the game because of his ankle or Justin Fields about returning to the game after an apparent head injury. It is mildly infuriating when the post-game news conference sounds more like a People Magazine press junket. Dan would prefer to remain focused on the events on the field, not in the stands.
Dan Patrick: “They asked (Patrick Mahomes) three questions, I think, about Taylor Swift. I mean, c’mon guys! We’re covering a football game here and all of a sudden People magazine unfolded. You gotta ask about the ankle because that ankle has been an issue here, and he left the game! ‘Uh, one more question about Taylor Swift...’ No! And I don’t need all the highlights or columns with all the Taylor Swift song titles.”
