Giannis Wanted to Take His Ball and Go Home

A bit of drama erupted in Indiana last night after Milwaukee Bucks C Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped 64 on the Pacers and then went looking for the game ball. The Pacers had it and refused to give it up, so Giannis made his way to the Pacers locker room in an attempt to retrieve it himself. Tempers flared and a completely unnecessary altercation ensued. Dan Patrick is a little disappointed that Giannis didn’t rise above the Pacers’ apparent pettiness and instead tried a full court press off the court.

Dan Patrick: “Giannis (Antetokounmpo) goes for 64 and then wants the basketball, and then thinks the, you know, the Pacers are being petty, chippy, and they take the ball away from him. You could have had a staffer go in there. And maybe he tried that, but you’re running down the hallway? I mean, c’mon, really? Running down the hallway to get the basketball...what are you going to do when you go into the locker room? Like, you can’t do that! You’re Giannis, you’re better than that.”
