Jason Smith: Jake Browning is the Next Brock Purdy

Jason Smith: “Who is the next Brock Purdy? It’s Jake Browning. 100%. I’ve watched him the last couple of weeks get better and better, and last week, against a really good Vikings defense, the game didn’t go all his way but he got them down for the game winning points. Every game he’s more and more dangerous, and he’s got two 300 yard games in four starts already. The Bengals offense has not missed a beat... The guy is legit. In fact, I would not be surprised if this year the Bengals had a surprise deep playoff run, and it’s not the clock striking midnight, it’s just they run into a better team. He lead them to a win or two, and all of the sudden we have the Bengals in the AFC Championship game with him starting.”

Jason Smith and Mike Harmon discuss who could potentially be the next Brock Purdy of the NFL, and Jason feels it could be Bengals backup QB Jake Browning. Browning has kept the Bengals alive in the playoff race, and has turned in four solid starts in place of the injured Joe Burrow. What else does Jason like about Browning?
