Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant returned from his 25-game suspension to drop 34 points, including the game-winner last night as the Grizz beat Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans. Ja admitted after the game that he has been “keeping receipts” during his suspension, implying that he has been unfairly treated. Dan reminds the young star that keeping receipts didn’t work so well for Deion Sanders and Robert Saleh this year, so he may want to reconsider his approach.
Dan Patrick: “If he wants to have a chip on his shoulder and wants to make this about the media, go ahead. You wouldn’t be the first and you won’t be the last, but this is all about you...You can’t be sitting there blaming everybody when you’re sitting down for 25 games...But, you know, Deion (Sanders) was, you know, keeping receipts, Robert Saleh keeping receipts. Like, OK, how’d that work out for those two this year?”
