Rob Parker reacts to Robert Griffin III reviving a long-standing beef between the two television hosts. RG3 recently recorded a TikTok video regarding Rashard Mendenhall’s comments about wanting to hold an all-black vs all-white Pro Bowl game. RG3 included Rob in the video, saying that many people “don’t know what side RG3 would play on” because of Rob Parker’s “cornball brother” comment he made toward him back in 2012. Rob believes that it’ time for him and RG3 to bury the hatchet, and has extended a long overdue invitation to join The Odd Couple, and debate Chris and Rob on some sports topics... However, Rob will not apologize for the comment that ignited the feud in the first place. Listen to the full segment above!
Rob Parker: “I think it’s time for me and RG3 to bury the hatchet. RG3, this is an open letter to you: I’m extending my arms to you, and telling you that the time has come for me and you to hug it out. Chris (Broussard) will be there with us. You’ll come do The Odd Couple and we’ll talk about it and have a dialogue. You’re a television personality now, and can hold your own. I still do remember, in a magazine article after that all happened, you backed me and didn’t think it was the end of the world, and didn’t think I shouldn’t have had my contract renewed at ESPN. You disagreed with me, but it wasn’t the end of the world. But I think the time has come, it’s been 11 years. RG3, come onto the Odd Couple FOX Sports Radio, we’ll talk about your new TV career and me and you will hug it out and move on from here.”
Chris Broussard: “Well that’s nice, but I guess it starts with you saying he’s not a ‘cornball brother.’ Is that fair? I mean, if you’re not going to apologize for that, than what’s the conversation about?”
Rob Parker: “There’s not an apology, it’s just that we had a difference of opinion, that’s all it was.”
Chris Broussard: “But you insulted him, and he’s mad about it...”
