It Would Be a Mistake for Florida State to Leave the ACC

Florida State University has called an emergency board meeting and speculation is they will be looking to leave the ACC after getting snubbed by the College Football Playoff Committee despite being an undefeated champion in a major conference. Doug thinks it would be a mistake for them to head over to the SEC as a knee jerk reaction. There were extenuating circumstances that led to them being left out, and abandoning a conference they can win on a regular basis won’t improve their chances and will probably cost them millions in NIL money.

Doug Gottlieb: “They had a star quarterback who got hurt and his backups were terrible in comparison. And we’re trying to judge the four best teams and the margin of difference is very slight, and if you take out a star quarterback, that’s what you’re left with. And I actually agree with decision that was made, as harsh as it may seem.”
