The court-storming issue seems to have some legs as everyone and their mother is weighing in on what should (or shouldn’t) be done about college basketball fans storming the court after a big win. For DP, it’s pretty simple; the safety of the players needs to be the first consideration and he thinks the police should be involved, not just stadium security.
Dan Patrick: “Every school should have in place enough police; police, not security, police to be able to escort a team off the floor. If you think that there is that possibility. Duke is coming to (town). Like, what would be court-storming worthy? And this was a big game, but you should at least be prepared for that...If you want to let it happen, all I’m asking is: let the players leave the floor.”
