In for the Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon, Chris Plank & Arnie Spanier break down Shohei Ohtanis former interpreter Ippei Mizuhara reportedly going into negotiations to plead guilty in connection to the reported theft of Ohtanis money and gambling scandal.
Chris Plank: “Sources say the feds have concluded that Mizuhara was lying that Ohtani was completely in the dark over the gambling debt and that he embezzled from one of Ohtani accounts...I can’t find this story anywhere in the major outlets! It’s almost as if, ‘oh its cleared... the feds cleared it, story over guys!’ I mean when things are cleared it should be equally as big of a story and it isn’t and it’s infuriating!”
Arnie Spanier: “Everybody was saying that this guy is the fall guy for Ohtani, let me explain something to you the feds don’t allow you to say ok we are following the money or wait you have a fall guy guess we are stopping the investigation! IT DOESN’T WORK LIKE THAT!”
