Joel Klatt Releases His Final 2024 NFL Mock Draft

Watch FS1 college football commentator and analyst Joel Klatt reveal his final mock draft of the year, with Thursday’s 2024 NFL Draft now less than two days away.

Klatt has three quarterbacks coming off the board in the first three picks, with USC’s Caleb Williams going #1 to Chicago, LSU’s Jayden Daniels going #2 to Washington, and North Carolina’s Drake Maye going #3 to New England.

With the fourth pick, Klatt has the Cardinals keeping the pick and selecting Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

That’s where Klatt’s mock gets a little spicy. Klatt believes the Vikings will send the Chargers their two first-round picks (#11, #23) to acquire the no. 5 pick to draft Michigan Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

At six Klatt has the Giants taking wide receiver Malik Nabers from LSU, and then followed up by a major surprise at seven. Most mocks have Notre Dame left tackle Joe Alt going no. 7 to the Tennessee Titans, but Klatt believes the Jets will trade up to no. 7 to draft Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze.

The Falcons will then select defensive end Dallas Turner from Alabama at no. 8, perhaps the most obvious pick of the entire first round, and then the Bears will surprisingly end up with Alt at no. 9 to pair with Caleb Williams, who Klatt called the best tackle in the Draft.

To close out the top ten, Klatt has the Titans grabbing Penn State right tackle Olu Fashanu after their earlier trade with the Jets.

Following their trade with the Vikings where they acquired both of Minnesota’s first-round picks, Klatt has the Chargers taking Georgia tight end Brock Bowers at no. 11.

Then Klatt predicts one final surge of fireworks with a run on Pac-12 quarterback with the Broncos taking Oregon’s Box Nix at no. 12, and the Raiders taking Michael Penix Jr. at no. 13.
